    Hi! Thank you for this clear and interesting video. 1) is there a significant difference between zero drift amplifiers and auto-zero amplifiers? 2) Is it possible to use either a zero drift amplifier or an auto-zero amplifier for an integrator? 3) ... for photodiode transimpedance amplification?

    Is it true that it is possible to run Linux on it?

    • @MicrochipTechnology
      @MicrochipTechnology 2 дня назад

      Yes, it is possible to run Linux on the PIC64GX microprocessor. The PIC64GX, a quad-core processor based on the RISC-V architecture, is designed to support asymmetric multiprocessing, which allows it to run Linux alongside other operating systems like real-time OS or bare-metal systems.

    • @microdesigns2000
      @microdesigns2000 14 дней назад

      There is a real-time Linux kernel, no?

    • @MicrochipTechnology
      @MicrochipTechnology 14 дней назад

      Hi there, thanks for your question! PIC64GX has on-chip crypto accelerators to authenticate the Linux image before boot. PIC64GX also has the ability to configure cache line as tightly coupled memory which gives the user the ability to run real-time workload or RTOS on one or more cores. System designer can partition the system to run RTOS on one core and SMP Linux on the other three cores, completely separated from each other with physical memory protection so that the Linux workload does not interfere with Realtime partition and achieve the real time performance. This how we enable users to run Asymmetric multi-processing (AMP). Hope this helps!

    They don’t say much about the CPUs. I believe it’s a quad core RISC V. Maybe 600MHz. Which isn’t actually bad. This this is easily capable of being a firewall. Even with the potential of a decent amount of storage since you have PCI on it.

    Hi. Can I use a USB BLaster FGPA programmer to program a AN015 QNG69 ACTEL CHIP ?

    • @MicrochipTechnology

      The USB Blaster FPGA programmer is designed for Intel (formerly Altera) FPGAs and is not directly compatible with Actel (now Microchip) chips. Unfortunately, we don't have information on the AN105 QNG69 chip. For Actel/Microchip FPGA programming, you may need a FlashPro programmer. Hope this helps!

    Can this work with small signals like the echo from a transducer?

    • @MicrochipTechnology
      @MicrochipTechnology 23 дня назад

      The Zero Crossing Detector (ZCD) in the AVR DA family is mainly for AC signals, like those from power lines. It might not be the best choice for small signals, such as an echo from a transducer, because it detects signals around 0.8 volts. For small signals, other methods might work better.

    • @MicrochipTechnology
      @MicrochipTechnology 23 дня назад

      The AVR-IoT Cellular Mini requires cellular signals to transmit GPS data, so it won't work without telecom signals. As for miniaturizing the device, the AVR-IoT Cellular Mini board and GPS FeatherWing are already compact, but further reducing the size would involve custom hardware development.

    • @MicrochipTechnology
      @MicrochipTechnology 23 дня назад

      Hi there, thanks for reaching out. To distinguish between 8-bit and 16-bit EEPROM chips before reading and writing, you should check the datasheet of the specific EEPROM chip you're working with. The datasheet will provide detailed information about the chip's architecture, including its bit organization. Additionally, the part number of the EEPROM often indicates whether it is an 8-bit or 16-bit device.
